Our faculty are mathematics educators and leaders who are passionate about the teaching and learning of mathematics. We have many years of experience working with students in elementary classrooms and with our adult colleagues.
Our workshop faculty members are heads of schools, division or department heads, nationally recognized curriculum developers, and national award winners. The fact that we have all been classroom teachers at some point gives us a grounded perspective in our work with educators.
The Math Workshop was first established over fifty years ago under the direction of Gordon Clem in conjunction with the National Association of Independent School. Since 2015, the workshop has taken place on the campus of Fay School in Southborough, Massachusetts.
All of the workshop faculty look forward to the Math Workshop each summer. Year after year, we are inspired by the energy and commitment of our participating teachers, who come from all over the country to strengthen their mathematics teaching. Novice and experienced teachers alike return to their schools energized by the workshop experience.
